Introduction

All members will need to self-register for the 2026 season. The system is Rugby Xplorer, and is managed by Rugby Australia. This is the same system we have been using for a number of years. Any technical issues with registering should be forwarded to Rugby Australia at rugbyxplorer@rugby.com.au

Prices for 2026 Season includes registration, all insurances, affiliation, playing fees, a training shirt, and a KWP Backpack (new for 2026).  New players to the club in the U6 to U9 age groups will also receive a pair of KWP playing socks and shorts.  Please note for returning players this arrangement is the same as last year and socks and shorts are NOT included in this year’s registration.

Age Group Price
U4 to U6 $150 (same as 2025)
U7 $210 (same as 2025)
U8 & U9 $325 ($20 increase)
U10 to U18 $350 ($20 increase)

As with 2025, we want to make playing rugby as affordable as possible and in order to keep fees as low as possible we’ve kept the same arrangement which is removing including a pair of socks and shorts as part of your registration fee (excluding new players in the U6s to U9s).  If new socks or shorts are required they can be purchased at the gear day or online (see shop on website).  This has also been done based on feedback that not every player needs a new pair of socks and shorts each year and so will hopefully reduce waste.

Sibling Discounts

We are again offering a sibling discount of $20 for first sibling, $30 for second and subsequent siblings is available.

How To Register > Two Step Process

Step 1 – Set Up your Rugby Account

NEW MEMBERS: You will need to first set up your rugby account. You can either complete these activities at https://myaccount.rugby.com.au (NB: you will need enter your email to verify you don’t already have a My Rugby Account) or you can download the Rugby Xplorer App, available in the App Store and Google Store.

RETURNING MEMBERS:  first find your rugby account. If you know your MyRugby ID you can use this to find your account and log in. If you don't know your Rugby ID, the email address you registered with in 2025 will be in the system, so please enter the same one when you click here

If you can’t remember your password you can reset it via email or SMS by clicking Reset Password

EVERYONE WITH SIBLINGS PLAYING: The next step is to ensure all family relationships are linked before you register (except for new players) – i.e. all children being registered need to be linked to the primary account holder. Full instructions on linking an account are available here

General instructions & help documents for the registration process are available online here

Step 2 – Register your Players

  1. Make sure you select who you would like to register (your child)
  2. Enter Club name and Search – be sure to type “Killara” and select Killara West Pymble JRU, Sydney Junior Rugby Union as per below (otherwise you will be unable to register).
  3. This will take you to the Registration Type page, please note the following:
    • Role: Player
    • Registration type: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE CORRECT TYPE BASED ON YOUR AGE GROUP (the age you are turning in calendar year 2025)
      • “XVs JUNIORS” – age 8 and above
      • “Get into Rugby – Tri Time” – 6 & 7
      • “Get into Rugby – Walla” – 4 & 5
    • Duration: Season
    • NOTE: if you are trying to register and you cannot, it is most likely due to the Registration Type (see above under step 3) as the system automatically excludes you if your age does not match the type.  If you are intending to play a different age group, please register based on your actual age group and contact us.
  4. Then continue to follow the steps, confirming your child’s details, height, weight, school name etc. Make sure you mark your profile as public when asked yes or no, as this will be needed for sign in sheets, team lists etc.
  5. You will then come to the Registration Summary page.
  6. Finally, you will come to the payment page where you can enter payment details.

And you are done!

Please note the sibling discount will apply but unfortunately the system does not allow for only one checkout option. So you will need to check out and pay for each child, but provided you are doing it one after the other, the discount will apply for the second (and third etc) at check out.

Age Groups

A players age at the 1st January determines their age group.

e.g. a child who is 7 at the 1st January plays in the Under 8s.

KWP usually runs teams in age groups from Under 6s to Under 16s, and will make sure there are appropriate teams for all Uder 4s and Under 5s to play in. We also the formidable Limping Leos our Over 35's team, for all those Dads still holding on to past glory!

U4s to U7s play two handed tag only. Some tackle starts from U8s in a safe and controlled way, appropriate for each child/team.

Registration Fees

2026 Season Fees

Like many other organisations KWP is also impacted by rising costs.  We want to make playing rugby as affordable as possible so after positive feedback and in order to keep fees as low as possible, and based on feedback that most players use their socks & shorts for multiple seasons, we will again exclude new socks & shorts as an automatic part of your registration fee (excluding new players to the club in the U4 to U9 age groups). New socks & shorts can be purchased at the pre-season gear days or through our on-line shop as and when required.

In summary the fees are the same for U4-U7 for the third year in a row, with a small increased for older age groups. However, thanks for our new sponsor Addcom, we will be giving every 2026 player a free KWP backpack.

As a guide the youngest age group is the first game of the day, approximately 8.00am onwards, then each age group follows afterwards.

The game duration and size of the field is dependant on the age group, for more information please see Game Styles. There are usually multiple teams playing simultaneously up to U10.

All players are to be at the ground 30 minutes prior to game time. If there is a late start the match must be shortened with each half remaining equal to ensure the following game is not delayed.
